Personal Development and Well-Being

HomeCurriculumPersonal Development and Well-Being

At Blowers Green Primary School, we value academic achievement and personal development equally, recognising that both are essential for every child to grow, flourish and succeed. Personal potential is about every pupil becoming the very best version of themselves — discovering their interests, their strengths and what motivates them. It is rooted in developing character, nurturing passions and helping children recognise that success takes many forms.

When pupils begin to understand what inspires them, they start to see the opportunities ahead and realise that their future is full of possibility. Unlocking personal potential gives children the confidence to draw on their strengths and apply them to all areas of school and life.

Through the rich experiences, wider opportunities and carefully planned provision at Blowers Green, pupils learn to believe in themselves, think ambitiously and understand that they have the power to shape their own future.

We strive for all pupils to:

• be responsible, respectful and active citizens

• promote equality of opportunity

• promote an inclusive environment

• develop their character, giving them qualities they need to flourish in society

• develop their confidence and resilience so that they can keep themselves mentally and physically healthy

• be prepared for the next phase of education

Below, you can find some of the ways we support children in discovering and unlocking their personal potential.
